The Gaza Aid “Massacre” That Never Happened

THE LIE

In September 2025, Israeli soldiers murdered a 12-year-old Gazan boy at an aid distribution site.
THE TRUTH

They did no such thing. The claim is part of a broader Hamas disinformation campaign falsely accusing Israel of massacring civilians at aid distribution sites.
BACKGROUND

On April 22, 2026, former British Royal Marine Dave McIntosh told the Declassified UK podcast that he witnessed Israeli soldiers murder a 12-year-old boy at a Gaza aid distribution site on September 25, 2025. (Declassified UK)

McIntosh says he was working with security firm Safe Reach Solutions (SRS), which was contracted by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) — the organization running the aid distribution.
TRUTH EXPLAINED

McIntosh’s claim is one of many false stories about Israeli soldiers supposedly massacring civilians at aid distribution sites. These claims have been repeatedly debunked. (Honest Reporting), (Eitan Fischberger), (ITVX)

McIntosh showed footage from the site — and even from that day — but has no footage of the murder he claims to have witnessed. (Declassified UK)

The videos McIntosh showed on the podcast feature Gazan children smiling and laughing while waiting calmly in line for aid — filmed in September 2025, months after he claims Israeli soldiers were routinely executing civilians at these very sites. When pressed, McIntosh attributed their cheerfulness to “resilience” in the face of “starvation” and “genocide.” But children who believe they may be shot don’t line up happily at the place where the shooting happens. And parents who believe their children will be killed don’t send them there. (Declassified UK)

No mainstream media outlet — none of which ever needed a high bar to run an anti-Israel story — reported any such incident. Even Wikipedia’s pro-Palestinian list of Gaza aid-site killings doesn’t include it. The only mention anywhere came from a Hamas-affiliated channel, which logged “at least one Palestinian” killed, with no name, no age, and no details. (Declassified UK), (Wikipedia), (ADL)

McIntosh insisted the boy was 12. But he never met the child, and never even got close to him. There was no way for him to know his exact age. (Declassified UK)

McIntosh also never saw Israeli forces shoot the child. He claimed it was evident from the bullet’s entry wound in the boy’s shoulder that it had come from an Israeli sniper. But he never saw the entry wound, and he produced no coroner’s report. At every turn, he claimed precise knowledge of things he had no way of knowing. (Declassified UK)

He said the 7.62 mm bullet proved it was an Israeli sniper rifle, but Hamas uses 7.62 mm ammunition too, as do some handguns. And his claim that it is “impossible” to survive a 7.62 mm round is simply wrong: a shoulder wound without arterial damage is survivable. (Terrorism Info), (CBS News)

Beyond the boy, McIntosh claims IDF soldiers regularly shot at him and GHF workers for sport. Neither GHF nor his own employer ever reported anything like this — and it makes no sense, since GHF was a joint U.S.-Israeli operation that Israel had every reason to protect. (Declassified UK)

While McIntosh points fingers at Israel, Hamas has a documented, verifiable record of killing Palestinians at aid sites. Hamas engineered a stampede that killed 19 people at a GHF site. Hamas affiliates stabbed a Palestinian to death and attacked an American medic with an icepick. Hamas threw a grenade at a distribution point, wounding two American security personnel. Hamas ambushed a bus of Palestinian GHF workers and killed at least five of them — because those workers were cooperating with a system that bypassed Hamas control. (FDD), (FDD)

“We have had no casualties on our sites. We have never had any casualties except for two incidents of terrorist attacks.” — GHF spokesperson Chapin Fay
TAKEAWAY

Dave McIntosh is a desperate opportunist trying to grift his way into 15 minutes of fame by framing Israelis as bloodthirsty child-killers. This self-proclaimed hero claims he watched Israeli soldiers murder a 12-year-old boy at a GHF aid site with a 7.62mm round, yet somehow failed to capture any footage of the alleged execution despite filming everything else, while his own videos show smiling Palestinian children calmly and happily lining up for food. No mainstream media touched his story, no witnesses backed it, no coroner’s report exists, and even basic ballistics expose his lies. While McIntosh peddles this slander for clout, Hamas was busy attacking aid convoys, stabbing civilians, throwing grenades at American workers, and engineering deadly stampedes to keep Palestinians hungry and the propaganda flowing.
