THE LIE

Israel and the U.S. stand by while Jewish extremists terrorize Palestinian families in Judea and Samaria. The IDF does nothing, and the U.S. Embassy looks the other way.
THE TRUTH The opposite is true. On August 13, 2026, U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee confirmed the U.S. Embassy coordinated directly with the IDF and Israel Police to physically remove a small group of Jewish extremists attacking a Palestinian family’s home. Israel prosecutes these acts as crimes, has handed down three consecutive life sentences for a prior attack, and uses the same administrative detention tools against fringe extremists that it uses against Palestinian terrorists. The Palestinian Authority, by contrast, pays terrorists a monthly salary – indexed to how many people they killed.
BACKGROUND➔ In August 2026, a small group of extremists conducted a five-day siege of a Palestinian family’s home in Qusra, Judea and Samaria — a family that included American citizens. Claims circulated that the U.S. and Israel had done nothing. That was false.➔ On August 13, 2026, Ambassador Mike Huckabee posted on X: ‘This is another lie. @usembassyjlm has been VERY involved & the IDF & Israel Police have gone at our request to remove the Israeli terrorists doing this. The actions of those doing this to this family’s home is criminal.’ [Huckabee on X]➔ The perpetrators in these incidents are overwhelmingly from a The Hilltop Youth are young, ideologically motivated Jews who establish outpost communities across Judea and Samaria — pioneers motivated by faith and love of the land. The vast majority of the Hilltop Youth are not violent. A small subset of individuals within the movement have carried out criminal acts that go too far and should be (and are) condemned. Those acts are the exception, not the rule. JNS
TRUTH EXPLAINED

Huckabee has a documented record of calling Jewish extremist violence exactly what it is. Israeli government does not have a double standard when it comes to dealing with criminal incidents. Either on the Israeli or Palestinian side.  Breitbart

The scale and lethality of criminal acts from fringe Israeli groups are not remotely comparable to terror coming from within the  Palestinian Authority. In all of 2024, approximately 1,420 incidents were attributed to Jewish extremists by international sources – but only 5 Palestinian deaths resulted from direct extremist violence, with the overwhelming majority of incidents involving property damage: vandalism, crop burning, graffiti. Washington Institute

Palestinian terrorism operates at a completely different order of magnitude. Since October 7, 2023, Palestinian terrorist attacks tripled in frequency and have killed over 45 Israelis in two years (not including the 1400 Jews, Christians and Muslims murdered on October 7th). Palestinian terrorism has produced mass-casualty attacks – suicide bombings, rocket barrages targeting Israeli cities, execution-style murders of entire families. Washington Institute

Israel uses administrative detention against Jewish extremists – the same counterterrorism tool applied to Palestinian terrorists – upheld by the Israeli Supreme Court. Jewish Virtual Library

While Israel criminalizes and prosecutes violent acts by any citizen of Israel, the Palestinian Authority has officially budgeted to reward terrorism against Israelis. In 2026, the PA budgeted $315 million to pay 23,500 terrorists and their families – confirmed by a watchdog report the State Department has acknowledged. Payments are indexed to severity: a terrorist sentenced to 30+ years receives $3,400 per month. Washington Free Beacon

Mahmoud Abbas announced an end to ‘Pay-for-Slay’ in February 2025 – then kept paying. Within weeks, PA post offices distributed payments as normal. By March 27, 2025, another full round of payments went out. PA officials were unequivocal: ‘There is no end to the payments. We reject ending the subsidies to the prisoners and families of martyrs. We will not apologize for it.’ The Times of Israel
QUOTES

“This is another lie. @usembassyjlm has been VERY involved & the IDF & Israel Police have gone at our request to remove the Israeli terrorists doing this. The actions of those doing this to this family’s home is criminal.” – Ambassador Mike Huckabee, U.S. Ambassador to Israel, August 13, 2026
TAKEAWAY

When a Jewish extremist commits a criminal act in Judea and Samaria, Israel sends in the IDF, makes arrests, and will prosecute the crime with appropriate measures. When a Palestinian terrorist murders an Israeli, the Palestinian Authority cuts them a monthly check – indexed to how many people they killed – and names a town square after them. The contrast is not subtle. This is the difference between a country that enforces the rule of law and a governing authority that funds murder as official policy.
