No, Tucker, Israel Doesn’t Control Britain Either

THE LIE

Criticism of Israel is illegal in the UK, proving that the country is controlled by Israel.
THE TRUTH

The UK is openly hostile toward Israel, while Britons are arrested for criticizing Islam due to heavy Islamist influence.
BACKGROUND

On April 12, 2026, during an appearance on BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, Tucker Carlson claimed that the United Kingdom is not truly sovereign because it is secretly controlled by Israel. (BBC)

He cited the supposed arrest of Britons for criticizing Israel as proof and declared that Prime Minister Keir Starmer —along with President Donald Trump — is “enslaved” by Israel: “[Britain’s] prime minister has no sovereignty…Keir Starmer is every bit as enslaved as Donald Trump is. It is illegal, it is a crime for which you can be arrested in Britain right now: criticizing Israel. If you say you’re for Palestine Action, you can be arrested.”

Palestine Action is an anti-Israel group designated a terror organization by the British government.
TRUTH EXPLAINED

Millions of Britons have protested Israel since the October 7, 2023 Hamas massacre, and most citizens—including 21% of young Britons who say Israel should not exist—openly identify as anti-Israel, demonstrating that such views are mainstream rather than criminalized. (YouGov), (Wikipedia), (Middle East Eye)

Anti-Israel demonstrations in the UK, which often include antisemitic rhetoric and pro-Hamas messaging, are routinely facilitated by police, who have at times restricted Jewish presence instead of suppressing the protests themselves. (The Telegraph)

Dozens of anti-Israel organizations operate freely across the United Kingdom without being banned or prosecuted for their views, underscoring that opposition to Israel is broadly protected speech. (Meir Amit), (Wikipedia)

Palestine Action was not banned for speech. It was banned after activists broke into a Royal Air Force base in June 2025 and caused £7 million in damage to military aircraft. Even so, a UK High Court ruled in February 2026 that the designation was disproportionate — not because the group’s actions were lawful, but because their “level, scale and persistence” fell short of what justifies proscription as a terrorist organization. (Times of Israel)

In September 2025, the UK government formally recognized a “State of Palestine” despite strong Israeli opposition, a move fundamentally incompatible with the claim that Britain is controlled by Israel. (Reuters)

In contrast, British authorities have arrested individuals for offending Islam under hate speech laws, and in March 2026 expanded the definition of “anti-Muslim hostility” to include prejudicial stereotyping, demonstrating that influence in the UK runs in a very different direction than Tucker claims. (The Spectator), (7News Australia), (British government)

The United Kingdom is under significant institutional and cultural Islamic influence, including the presence of up to 85 Sharia courts, dominance in European Islamic banking, and public advocacy of Islamic practices. (Legal Priority), (GB News), (The City UK)

Broader cultural patterns—from the widespread display of Palestinian symbols to reluctance to confront crimes involving Muslim communities—reflect pro-Muslim sentiment in Britain that directly contradicts claims of Israeli control. (Daily Mail), (Daily Mail), (Daily Mail)
QUOTES

They almost have this strange fetish in London that they like being conquered. That they’re like enjoying the slow motion rape of their country….like, ‘Yes, Islamist, come into my country’…their master is some Muhamadan from Afghanistan.” — Charlie Kirk
TAKEAWAY

Tucker Carlson’s fixation on Israel as Britain’s secret master is patently false. While he ignores Britain’s open hostility toward Israel and its accelerating Islamization, Tucker peddles easily debunked nonsense that scapegoats Israel instead of confronting the real erosion of British sovereignty: Islamism. His Israel derangement syndrome distracts from uncomfortable truths and exposes a selective, irrational grudge.
